Three Tall Women

Three Tall Women was the first production in the Albee Project trilogy presented by Silk Dress Productions. The characters are named "A," "B," and "C." Act I is set in present day. Act II has the women from their individual time periods; Present day, 1970, and 1944, respectively. I was responsible for the design and all aspects of construction for "A" and "C" in Act II.

I had the task of creating 8 costumes, inspired by endangered animals, on a $50 budget. I used a mixture of alterations of existing clothing, along with creation of brand-new pieces. I collaborated with an artist who created the body paint on the dancers to correspond to my costumes. (Photos by Ilya Natarius.)

I was the costume designer for this main-stage show as my senior project. The show is set in the 1980’s, with the first scene full of historical characters.

Antigone

This was a student collaboration, directed by Helen Buron. We had absolutely no budget to work with. Our palette (for both costumes and set) was based around "Zinnias and a Blue Dish with Lemons" by Charles Demuth, and we utilized the movement-based character of the piece and the history of the Greek chorus. Actors were put in varying shades of white and cream, with pops of color to indicate character.
